Between the Notes: Lucia di Lammermoor

SEI Innovation Studio at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts
300 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA

Madness is a hallmark and dramatic device of bel canto opera and the Romantic era. As Opera Philadelphia prepares for its first performance of Donizetti’s masterpiece Lucia di Lammermoor since 1992, we will be joined by Dr. Stephen Willier, professor of music history at Temple University, to explore Lucia’s descent into madness in this edition of Between the Notes, highlighted by audio and video performances.

Available to Contributor level members ($100) and above. Reservations required. RSVP by September 7. Light refreshments will be served.
