Grant Awarded for New Opera

On October 23, the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage announced its 2019 Grants & Grantees. Opera Philadelphia was awarded a grant for an upcoming new opera by Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek (2016's Breaking the Waves). Congratulations to our fellow Philadelphia artists and organizations also recognized for their great work.

Verdi at Morgan Library 

Can't wait to hear Requiem this winter at the Academy of Music? Get in the Verdi spirit with a visit to the The Morgan Library and Museum in New York for a special exhibit featuring rare documents and artifacts from Milan's Ricordi Archive that give insight into the composer's Otello and Falstaff. The exhibit is on view through January 5, 2020.
