Opera Philadelphia

Double Exposure

Double Exposure is a unique, opera-in-the-making event that spotlights two of the company’s Composers in Residence: Rene Orth and David Hertzberg. Enjoy scenes by both composers that are each staged twice by two different casts of singers, led by stage directors Mary Birnbaum and Alison Moritz. These mini-productions are vivid, imaginative, and allow both the composers and the audience to see how different directors and performers may interpret the same pieces of music.

Join us after the performance in the lobby for a reception, where you can meet the composers and share feedback about the operas.

Featuring Johnathan McCullough*Ashley Milanese*, Anastasiia Sidorova*, Doğukan Kuran*, Kendra Broom, Aaron Crouch, Daniel TaylorAshley Robillard* and Samantha Hankey. With conductors Carlos Ágreda and Daniela Candillari, and Michael Sherman and Annie Brooks on piano.

Tickets: FREE
