All seats for the 2024–2025 Season are available for $11, or a higher price of your choosing, as part of a new ticket program called Pick Your Price. Opera Philadelphia is excited to welcome you to the opera with open arms and invite you to bring your friends and family. By choosing a ticket price that fits your budget, you can experience world-class opera and help grow our vibrant arts community in a way that works for you. Any amount over $11 helps support this program and allows more people to attend the opera. Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy any seat?
Yes! Pick Your Price allows you to select any available seat! Enjoy a box for the first time or get an elevated view from the Balcony.
Can I really pick any price?
All tickets start at $11, and you have the option to select a higher amount ranging from $20 to $250, as well as the standard price. Every dollar you spend over $11 helps support other operagoers and the work we present on stage.
Do you charge additional ticket fees?
There are no ticket fees except on exchanges.
What if I purchase a ticket and can no longer attend the performance?
We’ve expanded our exchange policy to make it easier for you to attend. You can exchange to another date or even a different opera within the same season! You may also donate your ticket back as a tax-deductible donation.
A $5/ticket fee will be charged on all exchanges, but our flexible exchange policy allows you to reschedule for when you are free. Tickets can be exchanged within the same season for a different date or production. This fee is waived as a member benefit for Patron Program members and above. Tickets may be exchanged up until 24 business hours before the originally scheduled performance.
Will Pick Your Price continue after the 2024–2025 Season?
We hope to continue Pick Your Price in future seasons and are currently seeking support so that we can. We are also evaluating the success of the program so we understand how it can best serve our community.
Other Discount & Promotional Questions
Will Opera Philadelphia still offer $2 ACCESS tickets?
Yes, we are pleased to continue our participation in the Art-Reach ACCESS Program which extends up to four (4) $2 tickets to individuals from low-income households or households with disabilities.
Will you offer Student and Community Rush?
No. The Pick Your Price model allows everyone to access any seat before arriving at the theater. Pick Your Price will still be available the day of, but we encourage you to purchase early for the best seats. You can also plan a fun date night!
How will this impact Group Sales?
All tickets are Pick Your Price, and we would love to work with you to create an experience your entire group will enjoy. Our Guest Services staff is happy to help you find the best seats at the right price for your group!
We have flexible reservation and payment options that fit any budget.
How will this impact Subscriptions?
Our loyal subscribers and members will always have first access to seats. Fixed seat subscriptions are not currently part of Pick Your Price.
Will Membership discounts continue?
We are no longer offering additional discounts on top of the Pick Your Price amounts, but our loyal members and subscribers will always have first access to seats.
How will this impact VIVACE and discounted Young Friends tickets?
VIVACE, Opera Philadelphia’s Community for Young Friends ages 21–45 will continue as a membership program. We will continue to offer designated VIVACE Nights throughout the season with our next being VIVACE Night at The Listeners on Wednesday, September 25th. To receive an invitation to the afterparty with the cast, you must be a VIVACE Member, which starts with an $80 annual donation or $7 monthly pledge.
